Cameron and his pets

Here is Cameron with his bearded dragon that he got for his birthday. It's name is Beardie. And another picture with his turtle.

An Amazing Project!

Gotta start with a hot dog while you're at Home Depot, of course.

Safety first!

Carrie and the kids did an amazing project. They made a large aquarium into 4 smaller sections for thier reptile pets. Here are some pictures. Way to go Carrie, Cameron, Brady and Annabelle. This is amazing.
They Sanded.

Drilled
Measured.

There was lots of electrical work to do.

The finished project! Awesome!

Annabelle

Here is Annabelle being adorable. (Not hard for her)

Brady had a birthday! Four years old

Brady had his fourth birthday last week. They all went to Six Flags amusement park for the day and it looks like they had a lot of fun.

My Beautiful Prego Wife

Marci has a friend who is building her portfolio as a professional photographer and was generous enough to come down to Provo and do a free photo shoot of Marci while she's pregnant. The pictures turned out amazing and we love what we have seen so far. To see the rest of the shoot copy and paste this link and it will take you to the photographer's blog post with Marci's pics.

What The...

Spring has been nice. A few cold days, but I've been wearing shorts a lot of the time and have even gotten sun burned from being outside on one occasion. Well, you can imagine my surprise when I walked outside to go to church this morning and saw this...

I kept thinking "c'mon Mike, wake up from this nightmare so you're not late for church!" Nope. Didn't happen. It's still snowing 8 hours later and I was late to church.

A Wonderful Day.....

Ok, so I am trying to figure out this blogging stuff and found this picture and decided to try and post it as I have been wanting to post some pics and stuff about our family visiting us last Thanksgiving and Christmas. So please forgive this being out of chronological order. It takes us awhile to catch on to this technology stuff. This picture was taken Friday, December 28. We went into Berkeley to Anthropologies and to the Crate and Barrell Outlet, just to look around. We then went into San Francisco and had a late lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. It was very cold, but very Christmasy at Union Square. This was taken there as we headed back to our car. We then drove down Lombard Street, which Mike has been wanting to do. Afterwards we went and spent some time shopping in Chinatown, which was really a blast. In spite of cold and somewhat rainy weather, we had a terrific time with M&M and appreciated them being here with us old folks. We can't wait to have them and their new baby with us this summer!! Thanks M&M, we love you!

Baby Names

I'm pretty sure that you all know we are having a little girl. If you didn't... where have you been? So, we often talk about names that we like and we come up with the same few names, so in attempt to broaden our exposure to beautiful baby girl names I thought it appropriate to open the brainstorming session to everyone.

In other words, what are all your favorite girl names that you would like to recommend to us? If you don't mind sharing, please let us know with your blog comments.

Hopefully we pick a winner so we don't name her Miguelita... or Buelita... (no offense Mom and Dad)

Interesting thought...

There once was an accountant, who unlike his colleagues, was honest in all his dealings and never even thought about toying with one number in a tax return or a financial statement. As this accountant grows older, he eventually passes away peacefully.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We have never had an accountant make it this far, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the man.

"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the accountant.

"I'm sorry, but we have our rules."

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other accountants who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.

They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises...

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.

"Now it's time to visit heaven."

So, 24 hours pass with the accountant joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

"Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."

The accountant reflects for a minute, then he answers: "Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell."

So, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

Now, the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage.

He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder. "I don't understand," stammers the accountant. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"

The devil looks at him, smiles and says, "Yesterday you were a recruit...... Today your staff."

So, I have a feeling that this might be real similar to my experience with the big accounting firms. Bummer...

So long to a great mentor prophet....President Gordon B. Hinckley

This has been a tough week for me. It has been awhile since I lost someone who was a huge part of my life. I never met President Hinckley, although we attended conference a couple of times and saw him from afar. But for as long as I can remember, he has been teaching in word and by his example, how to live. In every aspect of my life, he has given counsel and shown the way. I feel like I have lost my mentor, and I am left with now deciding how I will more fully incorporate all that he taught me, in order to become what he knew I could be. I am sure he made everyone feel that same way. In this way he exemplified our greatest Mentor, the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave us the greatest teachings and example which could be given. I recognize now, how much the Lord loves us, that he would allow President Hinckley to tarry so long among us. I love President Hinckley and I miss him terribly. I have often wondered how it would be when he passed, and I thought I would be prepared better than I was. How can anyone be shocked by the passing of a 97 year-old man? But I was not prepared, and it came suddenly and hit hard. But I know my sadness will be swallowed up as we all move forward, and I rejoice that President Hinckley is reunited with loved ones and with the Savior, where I hope someday to meet them both, and to dwell with them and with my family.....forever. Until then, I will remember that he taught us to just do our best, "but make sure it is your very best" he would say.... and "it will be all right".

Ready to take on the world!

Wednesday Marci passed her 20 week mark of pregnancy so today we went to the doctor for the 20 week appointment. Let's just say, this little girl is going to be a handful. So the nurse lubes up Marci's belly and the ultrasound begins. It turns out our little baby was having a dance party! Her legs we're kickin' and she was wigglin' all over the place! It was awesome. The nurse asked which one of us she got her wiggles from (I say Marci). Then, amongst all the wigglin' we notice she's sending us a message! What did the message say? See for yourself...

For possible interpretations of the message, see Marci's blog (link on the left side of our blog that says "Marci"). Anyways, she knows she's good. #1. It was a blast to see her alive and well. The nurse said she was perfect, that everything looked great.

Here are the other pictures we got from the ultrasound. Enjoy! We sure are.

This is the picture that tells us she is a girl.

Cute Little Butt huh! She takes after her dad in that way...

This is the face on the right, with the torso on the left.
